How To Remove Furniture Dents in Carpets

When furniture is placed on a carpet it will often create an unsightly dent and when the furniture is removed they will be more noticeable and annoying. Below is a simple yet effective step by step guide in removing these indentations from your carpet using the ice cube method:

Step 1

Remove furniture to expose the dents in your carpet

Step 2

Drop 1 ice cube in each dent. With large dents you may need to use multiple ice cubes

Step 3

Allow the ice cube to melt. The carpet pile will begin to fluff back up, reducing the dent

Step 4

Blot up any excess water with white paper towel or colorfast cloth. (Do not rub)

Step 5

Use a fork to gently lift the carpet pile

Step 6

Repeat process when necessary
